Fright Night’s pumpkin hunt kicks off tonight

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Starting tonight Fright Night will begin its pumpkin hunt contest.

To help with the cancelation of the annual Zombie Walk, Fright Night organizers will be hosting a pumpkin hunt contest.

40 specially carved Fort Wayne jack-o'-lanterns have been hidden throughout downtown Fort Wayne at several retail locations that hunters need to find.

Anyone who would like to participate in the competition will have to find one of the hidden pumpkins and take a picture of it. The picture must then be posted to a public social media account using #FWPumpkinPatch.

Pictures will be accepted until October 31, winners will be announced on November 1.

The grand prize for the pumpkin hunt is:

  • Starbucks Halloween cup
  • $50 Ruth's Chris Steak House gift card
  • $20 Starbucks gift card
  • $20 Botanical Conservatory gift card

With additional prizes including:

  • Starbucks Halloween cup
  • $20 Starbucks gift card
  • $10 "TinCash" for the TinCaps store

The contest can also be entered with self-carved pumpkins that have used free stencils offered by Visit Fort Wayne here or original designs.

If you plan on entering the contest, officials note that users must agree that their photos may be reused by Visit Fort Wayne or DowntownFortwayne.com in broadcast, online, or print media without compensation.
