IMS auction offers signage, track lights… and a bus or two

Indianapolis Motor Speedway auction items (bus)

INDIANAPOLIS (WPTA21) - Hundreds of items used at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are available in an online auction that concludes next week.

The 216 lots range from pace car plates to stand signage to a plethora of cooking and beverage gear.

Several of the items are track vehicles, such as a 1997 IMS bus with 186,283 miles on it ("runs and drives," according to the listing) -- with a new air conditioning system installed just recently -- and a 2002 Freightliner bus with 117,545 miles of use.

If you ever wanted a Miller Light illuminated rolling beer cart, that's available, too.

The items are being sold via online auction. Bidding ends Oct. 23 and all items must be picked up in Indianapolis the following day (there is no shipping option).

Additional information and the complete list of lots is available here.

The sale is being coordinated through Earl's Auction Company of Indianapolis.
