FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Fort Wayne Police arrested a man who they said led officers on a chase, crashed into a building and then tried to run from officers overnight.

Before 3 a.m. Thursday, police tried to stop a car at the gas station at Anthony and McKinnie.

The car sped off, and police gave chase.

Police said the chase didn't last long, and the suspect crashed into a building in the 1800 block of S. Anthony Blvd.

The FWPD said 26-year-old Trecell Watson got out and tried to run, but police quickly caught up with him.

He wasn't hurt in the crash.

A passenger in the car did suffer minor injuries.

Police arrested Watson and charged him with resisting law enforcement and criminal confinement.
