As light snow continues to fall across parts of the region, and temperatures fall into the 20s after sunset, slippery road conditions will be the biggest weather-related concern over the next 12-24 hours.
A large area of low pressure responsible for off and on snow showers across Northern Indiana and Northwest Ohio will exit to the east tonight, bringing most of the snow with it. A band of lake effect snow will persist, however, ultimately shifting eastward by early Tuesday morning, perhaps bringing half an inch to an inch of snow to areas southwest of Fort Wayne like Wabash and Huntington counties.
This additional snow, combined with falling temperatures below freezing, could cause some issues on untreated roadways tonight into Tuesday morning. Practice a safe distance between you and the car in front of you, and be extra vigilant on bridges and overpasses!
Tuesday afternoon will feature warmer, but blustery conditions.
