Boil water advisory issued in St. Joe

ST. JOE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Those consuming water from the pubic supply in St. Joe are advised to boil the water before drinking it or using it for food preparation.

The notice was issued Wednesday due to a water main break, which prompted the town to shut down water plant operations.

Residents should boil tap water -- even if it passes through a filter -- before drinking it or using it to wash any food products or to make ice.

Water should be boiled (and allowed to cool) before it is provided to animals, as well.
