Ohio sets dates for COVID-19 vaccinations in 75-plus, 70-plus and 65-plus age groups

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WPTA21) - Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine set a timetable on Tuesday for COVID-19 vaccinations in three different age groups.

The rollout is expected to be as follows:

  • Jan. 25 - Age 75 and older
  • Feb. 1 - Age 70 and older
  • Feb. 8 - Age 65 and older

DeWine said beginning the week of Jan. 25, those with severe congenital, developmental or early-onset medical disorders could also receive the vaccine.

Starting the week of Feb. 1, school personnel qualify.

The timeline follows the early administration of vaccines to first responders, health care workers and the oldest segment of the population.

Additional information will come from health departments in individual counties, including Van Wert and Paulding, in the ABC21 viewing area.
