Firefighters respond to ‘hoarder house’ fire in Fort Wayne

hoarder house

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - FWFD responded to what firefighters say was a "hoarder house" fire early Thursday morning.

It happened in 2500 block of E Paulding Rd. just before 3 a.m. When crews got there they found smoke coming from the back of the home.

They said it took several crews and extra time to find a way inside the house because of the number of items inside the home and in the yard. It took several hours to fully put out the hot spots.

One person got out safely. No injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation.
