Arrest made in Fatal Shooting at Hawthorn Suites

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Fort Wayne Police arrested 28-year-old Joseph Alan Rose, a person of interest in the deadly shooting at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Fort Wayne.

Just after 6:46 p.m. Tuesday Emergency Services Team members took Joseph Rose into custody on Falls Drive, off Coventry Lane.

Police say after receiving tips all day, Fort Wayne Homicide Detectives were able to find the location for the suspect.

Rose was taken to Police Headquarters for questioning and is being taken to Allen County Lock-up on a preliminary charge of Murder.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed, police said.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Coroner's Office, and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
