Hamilton issues boil water advisory

UPDATE - FEB. 12 (3 P.M.). The boil water advisory has been lifted.

HAMILTON, Ind. (WPTA21) - Hamilton officials are advising residents to boil water used for consumption through Feb. 11 at 1 p.m.

Town officials said workers were servicing water lines and the flow of water was shut off, prompting the advisory.

Those using the water supply should boil for five minute, then allow it to cool, before consuming.

The directive applies to water used for drinking and for cooking.
