Coroner: Woman found dead on Valentine’s Day now a homicide case

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - The Allen County Coroner's Office revealed the woman found unconscious on Valentine's Day was shot to death, and her death was a homicide.

Officers were called to the 600 block of Candlelite Court near Airport Expressway early Sunday morning where detectives found the woman unconscious. She died at the scene.

Following an autopsy, the coroner identified the woman as 37-year-old Heather Nicole Hobbs.

She died from a gunshot wound to the head, marking Allen County's 4th homicide in 2021.
