A weather system moves in tonight, which will be the final act of the arctic air mass that has been in place for much of the month of February. Rather than just snow, this system will be more of rain/snow mix.

Marginal temperatures will cause messier conditions tonight. Temperatures will rise to the lower to mid 30s, allowing for rain to mix in with snow. Despite this mixing, some minor snow accumulations are possible, with 2" at most north of Fort Wayne. Areas south of Fort Wayne likely won't see much accumulation, but an isolated report of an inch of snow will be possible.

Instead of accumulating snow, slushy conditions will be the headline Monday morning. This could still create some slick spots on area roads, especially as temperatures fall Monday morning. I still don't anticipate major or widespread travel impacts.

Temperatures hover in the lower 30s for most of Monday, with the rain and snow wrapping up by midmorning. As for the rest of the week, temperatures return to near or above average, with highs in the 30s to even the low 40s!

I'll have full details on what you need to know for your Monday morning commute tonight at 6 and 11PM on ABC21!
