Need a summer job? Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo to host job fair


FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - As the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo eyes an April opening, the zoo is planning a hiring event next month.

The Zoo is hosting its summer job fair on Saturday, March 6.

Because of the pandemic, the event will look different this year.

Folks who want to take part in the job fair will need to pre-register.

The number of participants will be limited to allow for safe social distancing. Face coverings will be required.

Job openings include Zoo Education Interpreters, Zoo Camp Counselors, Front Gate Associates, Food Concessions, Gift Shop, and Operations Support.

All openings are temporary positions, ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week during the Zoo season (mid-April through mid-October).
