Ohio officials: Beware of ‘driver’s license’ scam

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WPTA21) - Ohio's Department of Transportation is warning residents about a possible scam using state driver's licenses as the hook.

In an advisory on Tuesday, ODOT said it has become "aware of suspicious emails that appear to be from ODOT requesting customers update their driver's licence info."

Neither ODOT nor Ohio's Bureau of Motor Vehicles are asking for such information, and anyone receiving such an email should not provide it.
