Former Komets star who went missing after car crash found safe

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A family member says a missing former Fort Wayne Komet hockey player has been found safe.

One of the Fort Wayne Komets' most renowned players is missing following a car crash in Michigan.

Terry McDougall, whose Number 19 was retired in 2017, has not been seen since Friday.

His daughter-in-law, Amber Moss, issued a plea for help on Sunday.

The Fort Wayne Komets also took to social media to spread the word.

McDougall played seven seasons in Fort Wayne in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He finished his career with three seasons in Flint.

McDougall was born in 1953 and is 67 years old.
