Jury convicts Fort Wayne man representing himself in murder trial

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A jury found a Fort Wayne man guilty of murdering his roommate.
Wednesday afternoon, an Allen County jury convicted 19-year-old Anshious Aron Storey for murder and a gun charge. He represented himself in court despite being warned by the judge not to do so.
He was 18-years-old when he shot and killed 21-year-old Ronnie Dontrell Hall back in May 2020 at Woodview Manor Apartments.

Authorities responded to what they thought was a car that had crashed into a building in the 3300 block of Timberhill Drive but quickly learned the driver had been shot several times.
Three witnesses watched as Storey ran away from the vehicle.
Detectives immediately began searching for the passenger in the vehicle as the prime suspect.
Not long after the violence unfolded, the man they were looking for called 911 himself.
He claimed his roommate tried to rob him.
At a later hearing, a judge will determine how much time he will serve.
