FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Fort Wayne homicide detectives are hoping you recognize a vehicle and a person of interest captured on surveillance cameras at the scene of a recent fatal shooting.

On March 26, police were called to the intersection of Reed Road and Vance Avenue on reports of a shooting.

Not long after that, police found a man dead in the driver's seat of a car in the 4600 block of Willard Drive.

The Allen County Coroner's office said 19-year-old John A. Peterson died from multiple gunshots, and his death was ruled the 9th homicide in Allen County so far this year.

On Wednesday, the FWPD released some security camera photos that they hope will help track down a person of interest in the crime.

While the images don't clearly depict a suspect, the FWPD is hoping it might trigger a memory.

If you have any information that might help police, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers.
