INDIANAPOLIS (WPTA21) -- We'll never know if the Braves would have earned a three-peat if the 2020 season never got canceled, but a pair of state title's is still very impressive.

Blackhawk Chrisitan took home the 2A crown Saturday afternoon with a 55-40 win over Parke Heritage. This comes two years after the program won it's first state championship, at the 1A level.

Caleb Furst overcame a slow start, and some early foul trouble, eventually leading the Braves with 20 points. He also set a 2A state championship record with six blocks.

Zane Burke and Jacob Boyer each added 14 points to help push the Blackhawk Christian offensive attack.

After the game, the IHSAA Executive Committee named Furst the winner of this year's Athur L. Trester Mental Attitude Award.
