FBI believes crossroad truckers kidnap women, hold them for ransom

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WPTA21) - The FBI is on the hunt for more potential victims of two cross-country truck drivers accused of kidnapping women and demanding money for their release.

Brian T. Summerson, 25, of South Carolina, is facing battery, false imprisonment, and tampering with a witness in connection with the case.

The FBI said 35-year-old Chicago man Pierre Washington was also arrested in the case.

Authorities believe Summerson typically travels on I-95 from New Jersey to Miami, but also frequents Chicago and Kansas City.

While Washington's truck route is unknown, the pair have been known to pass through Indiana.

Investigators said when Summerson wants to meet potential victims, he often tells them his name is Von or Vaughn.

The FBI said they have photos, video and texts from multiple women, and they believe there may be more victims.
