Coroner IDs victims in deadly weekend incidents

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - The Allen County coroner has identified two men killed in separate incidents over the weekend.

Roderick J. Patterson, 25, died from a stab wound to the chest Sunday.

The coroner ruled the manner of death a homicide.

Police responded to the 2400 block of Trentman Ave. in Fort Wayne on that call, but believe the stabbing likely happened elsewhere a short time earlier.

In a separate incident Sunday morning, Daniel M. Nolan was found dead in the driver's seat of a car near the intersection of Hanna and Oxford streets.

Nolan had been shot several times, the coroner said.

The deaths bring to 14 the number of homicides in Allen County this year.

Anyone with information on either matter is asked to call Crime Stoppers or use the P3 app.
