FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) -- The players in the Padres farm system still got to work on their skills in 2020, but the experience was drastically different.

"The Padres have done a good job getting guys out to Arizona for work," said Anthony Contreras, TinCaps manager. "Obviously, last year with the alternate site at San Diego, we were able to have some guys go down there and keep working."

Players certainly benefited from that work, but the 2021 TinCaps said they're more than ready to get back out on a Minor League field, and play in front of fans.

Pitcher Gabe Mosser summed it up well.

"There's no true emotion other than you stepping out on that rubber with a bunch of fans yelling at you, screaming at you," Mosser said. "That rush of adrenaline, you just don't get the same thing when you're throwing a bullpen in a cage."
