Food, clothing and vaccine distribution planned in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A food and vaccine distribution is happening May 15th at the Wayne Township Trustee's office.

Volunteers will hand out food and clothing, and if you haven't had your COVID-19 vaccine and you would like, you can get your shot there.

Healthcare workers will be administering the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines.

The Wayne Township Trustee, Austin Knox, hopes to clear up misconceptions for those hesitant to get the shot.

"You have some people that do go register but don't somehow actually make it to go to get the vaccine. But we're trying to get rid of that by actually having the vaccines on site and try to eliminate some of the hurdles that people do face," said Knox.

The event is happening May 15th from 10 A.M. to 1:00 P.M, at 320 E. Superior St., Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
