New Haven plans for in-person Independence Day celebrations

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WPTA21) - The City of New Haven announced Independence Day plans this summer that will include a picnic and parade.

The celebration will be held on July 3.

Organizers said the parade will begin at 11 a.m. with a picnic immediately after the parade at Schnelker Park.

On deck for entertainment this year is a petting zoo, live music, a bulldog beauty contest and a dunk tank.

The committee in charge of the event is still in the planning process and will share more information as July comes closer.
