FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) -- The Komets held a one-goal lead late into Wednesday's game against Wheeling, but a rough finish led to a 4-3 defeat for Fort Wayne.

With under five minutes left in the third, Austin Fyten scored to make it a 3-3 game. Two minutes later, Cody Sylvester sent in the go-ahead goal for Wheeling.

In the final seconds of regulation, a large fight broke out after a Wheeling's Austin Fyten kneed Anthony Petruzzeli away from the puck. This eventually spilled over into an altercation between Wheeling players and Komets fans near the visiting bench.

The Nailers and Komets play again in Fort Wayne on Friday night at 8pm.
