FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A man is in critical condition after a stabbing in Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne police say they responded to calls about a stabbing in the 2400 block of Ormbsy St. Sunday just before 10 p.m. A man told dispatch that he was stabbed in the back and that his girlfriend's son did it.

When officers arrived to the scene they found the caller suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. While at the hospital, his condition turned life-threatening.

Police say initial evidence shows the man was fighting with his girlfriend when her young son stabbed him. The incident remains under investigation
