WICHITA, Kan. (WPTA21) -- The Komets couldn't rally in the third for the second-straight game, falling to Wichita 5-2 in game two of their playoff series.
Fort Wayne trailed 3-1 midway through the second, but drew within one on a short-handed goal from A.J. Jenks.
The Komets weren't able to get any closer. Wichita scored on a 5-on-3 power play to go up 4-2, then added an empty-netter in the final seconds.
Penalties played a big part in this game for both teams, the Komets got called for ten of them, and Wichita had nine.
The teams will head to Fort Wayne for the remainder of the series. The Komets host game three at Memorial Coliseum on Friday night.
