Komets comeback, win in OT, and advance to first Kelly Cup Finals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) -- It's time.

For the first time since joining the ECHL. The Komets are heading to the Kelly Cup Finals.

After falling behind 2-0 to the Americans on Tuesday night, the Komets stormed back to win 3-2 in overtime.

Alan Lyszczarczyk scored the winning goal just over a minute into OT.

Stephen Harper and and Matthew Boudens scored the first two Fort Wayne goals in the first and second, respectively.

On the night, the Komets out-shot the Americans 40-23.

The Komets now move on to the final round of the postseason, set to take on the South Carolina Stingrays. Game one of that series is on South Carolina on Friday night.
