North Side High School substitute charged with child sex crimes

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A long-term North Side High School substitute PE teacher is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old student.

Aaron M. Kimbrell, 29, is charged with child seduction where the defendant has a professional relationship with the child, child exploitation, possession of child pornography and dissemination of matter harmful to minors.

According to court documents filed in the case, a parent discovered inappropriate messages and videos between the girl and the gym teacher.

The alleged abuse happened between May and July 2021.

Charges were filed earlier this week, and Kimbrell posted a $20,000 bond according to online court records.

His next court hearing is scheduled for Monday, and a judge ordered him not to have contact with the girl.
