Fort Wayne man faces four counts following child pornography investigation

Michael Mura

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - An ISP task force investigation has led to charges of child pornography against a Fort Wayne man.

State police said Michael D. Mura, 40, turned himself in on Monday and was processed, then released on bond.

Mura faces four felony counts:

  • Possession of Child Pornography depicting use of force, Level 5 Felony
  • Possession of Child Pornography depicting a child under 12, Level 5 Felony
  • Possession of Child Pornography depicting bestiality, Level 5 Felony
  • Possession of Child Pornography depicting a child under 18, Level 6 Felony

The ISP Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began its investigation after it received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which reported an online account that was being used to store suspected child pornography.

That led to an execution of search warrants at Mura's home, in the 5300 block of Finch Lane.

An arrest warrant was then issued.

Mura is scheduled for an initial court appearance on Wednesday.
