CHURUBUSCO, Ind. (WPTA21) - In a 5 to 0 vote, Smith-Green Community Schools Board of Trustees approved a temporary mask mandate.
In a special meeting Thursday night, the board took up the topic of requiring masks.
On Tuesday, students returned to in-person class after two weeks of remote learning, brought on by a spike in COVID-19 cases.
A recent Executive Order from Governor Eric Holcomb will allow schools like Smith-Green and others that require masks to reduce the need for quarantines.
