Northrop’s Jackson announces commitment to UIC basketball

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) -- Fort Wayne hoops star Jalen Jackson will continue his playing career in the Windy City.

Tuesday, the Northrop senior announced his decision to play college basketball at UIC. He said an official signing will happen later this year.

Jackson played his first three seasons at Carroll. He averaged 22.3 points per game during his junior year.

Prior to his decision, Jackson had gotten interest from a wide range of college programs. He had narrowed his list down to ten teams, including Ball State and Purdue Fort Wayne.
