comfort inn shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — The Fort Wayne Police Department says they are investigating a shooting that left two injured at the Comfort Inn on the north side of town.

FWPD officers were called to the Comfort Inn off of West Washington Center Road around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday on reports of shots fired.

When police arrived, they said they found a man in a hallway on the second floor with gunshot wounds.

At this time, officers say they have limited information but believe the suspect is a black man in his 20's or 30's who is about 5'11".

As police were helping the first victim, they say a second gunshot victim walked into the hospital that matched the suspect's description.

This is a developing report. Check back for updates.
