Fort Wayne bank robbed…again

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – Police are investigating a bank robbery late Friday afternoon.

It happened around 4:00 the Flagstar branch at West State Boulevard and Sherman.

Officer Mark Bieker says a man in disguise slipped a note to a teller. The note suggested the man had a gun, though the gun was never seen.

The man ran out of the building with cash. Police tried to track his trail with a dog, but the search ended with nothing found.

This location was previously a Wells Fargo branch and has a history of robberies.

In 2018, the location was robbed twice in one week.
