FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Fort Wayne’s Keion Brooks Junior has decided to play his college basketball at Kentucky.

Brooks made the announcement Friday night at St. Paul’s Lutheran School, where he played from sixth through eighth grade.

This concludes a long recruitment process for Brooks, that included offers from top programs throughout the country. Brooks announced his top six choices back in September of last year, a list that included Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State, Kentucky, North Carolina, and UCLA.

Brooks played his first three seasons of high school basketball at North Side, making it to the 4A state championship game during his sophomore season. He was also our ABC21 Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a junior. Brooks transferred to La Lumiere before the current school year began.

247Sports rates Brooks as a five-star recruit, the second best prospect in Indiana, and the 13th best recruit in the nation for the class of 2019.
