The Historic South Wayne Neighborhood Association brought back an old tradition Sunday. Kite day invited families to pick up a free kite at the park or bring their own.
After being rained out last year, and the previous weekend, the community was determined to make it happen today. Parents said Sunday’s fun brought their community closer together.
Neighborhood association president Nate Hubartt said, “These kind of things get people out their doors when otherwise they might not. Just sharing community together. That was really our only goal for today.”
