AUBURN, In. (WPTA21) – Several families took their dads out on a classic car cruise to celebrate Father’s Day.
The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum hosted a classic car cruise.
Several fathers had the chance to test ride five different classic cars from the 1930’s.
“One of the memorable Father’s Day I had in a long time,” Rick Rowe, a father said.
Volunteers drove families around Auburn for around 15 minutes, giving people a feel of how the vehicles ride around town.
“Fantastic. We were really surprised at how smooth these things ride down the road. It’s unbelievable,” Rowe said.
A few fathers said the drive took them down memory lane with their own dads as well.
“The car was made back when my dad was born so I kind of got to think about dad,” said Stan DePew, a father.
The event began at 1 P.M. and ended at 4 P.M. More than a hundred people came out.
Museum officials said this was their first time hosting a car cruise. They said they are considering on doing it again.
