Fort Wayne police find missing man

UPDATE: Police say they found Carter Batchelder.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA 21) — Fort Wayne Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man who never returned home.

Carter Batchelder, 22, was supposed to move into Ball State on Saturday but hasn’t been seen since he left a friends house in Fort Wayne Friday night around 9 p.m.

Police say he hasn’t been in contact with his family or girlfriend and his phone is shut off. The last known location on the phone’s location services showed that the device was near Churubusco.

Batchelder was last seen in dark-colored shorts, a blue t-shirt, and was possibly wearing a hat. He was last driving a blue 2001 Honda Insight.

Anyone with information who can help is asked to call the FWPD at (260) 427-1222.
