FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – Dozens of protesters gathered at the Allen County Courthouse, then marched to the downtown Republican Party headquarters to show their concern about recent developments in Washington.

The group formed one day after the White House announced that Attorney General Jeff Sessions would be replaced — his resignation, at the president’s request, effective immediately.
Some of those who spoke with ABC21 said they are concerned about the impact the move will have on the investigation led by Robert Mueller.
President Donald Trump has appointed Matt Whitaker as Acting Attorney General. Whitaker has been openly critical of the special counsel in the past.
Whitaker also takes over Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s role in overseeing the Mueller investigation. Sessions would have had that responsibility, but had recused himself from the process.
