Local health experts look at teen smoking

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21)– Local experts are uniting to address concerns of rising tobacco use in teenagers

The Allen County Department of Health is holding an informational event Monday after a recent government report shows an alarming trend.

The FDA released a report earlier this month where 3.6 million middle and high school users admitted to being current e-cigarette users. That is more than double from 2017 when 1.5 million said they vape.

Several health community leaders will be at the McMillen Health Center at 10 a.m to talk more about the issue. ABC21 will be there and bring you the latest at noon.
