FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21)– A Fort Wayne man will be in front of a judge today after he let his 10-year-old nephew lead police in a car chase, later crashing into the side of a building.

Lachawn Love is in for an initial hearing. He faces 3 counts of child neglect after the incident last week Wednesday. Police say they were trying to pull over a car driving recklessly around the Jefferson Boulevard Area.

The driver, a 10-year-old, lead them on a chase before turning into the parking lot of Hobo’s Bar and Grill and slammed into the building.
