Police investigate Thursday morning jewelry store burglary

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) —  An investigation is underway after a Fort Wayne jewelry store was broken into.

The Fort Wayne Police Department said the burglary happened around 5:10 Thursday morning at the Will Jewelers on Maysville Road.

When police arrived they found the front door had glass broken out. Inside, they discovered several broken glass cases, coverings on the floor and several pieces of display jewelry in disarray or missing.

A representative with the company told police the display cases that were broken contained “Will” watches, display wedding bands, silver men’s necklaces and fashion jewelry from a women’s case.

The investigation remains ongoing as of the time of this report.
