Chicken nuggets recalled due to possible rubber contamination

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — More than 36,420 pounds of chicken nuggets are being recalled after customers reported finding rubber in the product.

The Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said the recall involves 5-lb. plastic packages of Tyson white meat Panko chicken nuggets. They have a best if used by dae of November 26, 2019 and cass code 3308SDL03.

The recalled chicken nuggets were produced on November 26, 2018 and shipped to retail locations nationwide.

FSIS was notified after Tyson Foods received reports from consumers of extraneous material in their product. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the nuggets.

The department said they are concerned some product may be frozen in people’s freezers. Anyone who bought the chicken nuggets are being urged not to consume them and to throw them away or return them where they bought them.
