Stay open or shut down: area businesses wrestle with closing decisions in bitter cold

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – 10 below zero temperatures in the middle of the day Wednesday forced restaurants, shops and entertainment centers to choose between shutting down for safety’s sake, or remaining open to service customers cautious about venturing out in the awful weather.

We visited Lazer X, CoreLife Eatery and Sport Spot Card Shop to get a feel for the difficult choices laid at the feet of businesses trying to do the right thing while not dismissing the need to pursue profits.
