DEFIANCE COUNTY, Ohio (WPTA21) – An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper and a Hicksville woman were hurt in a two-vehicle accident in Farmer Township on Tuesday afternoon.
Trooper Dennis Spangler, 42, was driving a 2019 Dodge Charger southbound on Farmer Mark road when, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, another vehicle failed to yield and pulled into the Charger’s path.
Both Spangler and the driver of the 2013 Chevy Equinox that struck him were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The other driver was identified as Maxine Cook, age 85.
Both were wearing a seatbelt.
Investigators do not believe alcohol was involved in the incident.
