Police respond to home on well-being check overnight

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA1) — A story developed overnight after Fort Wayne police responded to a situation.

Police responded to a home at the intersection of Kensington Drive and Carrington Boulevard off Cook Road around 1 am Friday.

Police at the scene told us family members had called saying they were concerned for the well-being of a man inside. They called in some SWAT members as they tried to coax the man to come out over a megaphone.

They were able to get the person to come out after about an hour, taking them to the hospital. Police tell us that person was not arrested.
