Teen arrested for firing shots at school bus stop

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — A teenager is in custody after reports show he fired shots after getting off a bus.

The Fort Wayne Police Department said 18-year-old Krystopher L. Acoff was taken into custody Thursday evening.

The arrest comes after detectives learned he was hiding out in the 5300 block of Rothermore. The detectives saw a vehicle belonging to the Acoff family leave a house in that area and pulled it over, finding Krystopher inside.

ABC21 previously reported the Northrop High School student got off a district school bus on February 25 near Winters street and fired several shots. No one was injured.

Court documents show the student, later identified as Acoff, was seen partially pulling a firearm from a pack before later sliding it into the front pocket of his hoodie.

When Acoff got off the bus, court documents show he walked down Winter Street before firing at something and running away.

Acoff was removed from school property the day after the incident.
