Grant County inmate walks away from work crew, on the run

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (ABC21) — The Grant County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help finding an inmate that walked away from a work crew Friday afternoon.

According to a post on the Grant County Sheriff Department’s Facebook page, Jon Polm Jr. was last seen around 3:30 p.m. near 30th Street and Gallatin Street in Marion. He was last seen wearing a green and yellow jacket with “Inmate Work Crew” on the back, blue jeans and a white t-shirt.

Polm Jr. was in jail for non-violent crimes and the Grant County Sheriff’s Department does not believe the public is in any danger.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Grant County Crime Stoppers at 765-662-8477.
