Two arrested after narcotics investigation in Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA21) — Two people face preliminary charges after an investigation into numerous drug complaints.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department said Eric McFarland and Whitney Schwab were arrested due to the investigation. The investigation involved surveillance and undercover components.

The Kosciusko County SWAT team executed a search warrant Thursday. During the search, officers found two children in the home with McFarland and Schwab. The children were placed into protective custody while McFarland and Schwab were taken into custody.

The department said officers found a stolen firearm, paraphernalia and methamphetamine inside the home.

McFarland was preliminarily charged with dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine maintaining a common nuisance, unlawful possession of a handgun by a serious violent felon and theft.

Schwab was preliminarily charged with dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and two counts of neglect of a dependent.
