Suspect in Lowe’s shooting arrested after chase on U.S. 27

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) — The suspect in a shooting at Lowe’s on N. Coliseum Blvd. was arrested after a chase on U.S. 27 Friday night.

According to police, Jeremy Johnson is facing charges related to a shooting on June 3 in the parking lot of Lowe’s. Officers were looking for Johnson for two days before finding him.

Police say once they found Johnson, he took off in car and led them on a chase with speeds hitting 90 mph. Johnson eventually crashed his car at the entrance of Country Court Estates near U.S. 27. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two women in the car with Johnson were also taken to the hospital with non-live threatening injuries.

Johnson and the two women are facing charges. Johnson was preliminarily charged with attempted robbery, battery with a deadly weapon and resisting law enforcement.

Police say they also found drugs in Johnson’s car.
