Ohio requests federal aid for tornado victims

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WPTA21) — Ohio’s governor is expected to request aid for tornado victims Tuesday.

In a nearly 30-page letter, Governor Mike DeWine said he would ask for help for 10 Ohio counties including Mercer County, where Celina is located.

DeWine said his administration will ask for direct assistance for individuals who are underinsured or uninsured.

FEMA surveyed 1800 structures last week including homes, businesses, government systems and other buildings.
