FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Usually when you see the parking lot at the Coliseum completely filled it’s for big events like the recent Paul McCartney concert. But when it fills Thursday, it won’t be spectator parking.

That is because the 25th annual Hot Rod Power Tour is taking over the parking lot. This event will include nearly 3,000 vehicles on display. The event takes place from noon to 7 Thursday afternoon.

Because the event is taking over the parking lot, there will be no spectator parking at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Coliseum organizers say parking will be available at the Purdue Fort Wayne campus visitor lots near the intersection of Coliseum Boulevard and North Anthony Boulevard.

Coliseum organizers say people not attending the event should avoid the area due to expected heavy traffic congestion.
